What We Believe

Services

9:45am Sunday School | 11AM Sunday Worship Service | 7PM Wednesday Bible Study

Rooted in Scripture. Led by the Spirit. United in Christ.

At Stancil’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, our beliefs are anchored in the Holy Scriptures and shaped by the principles of the Free Will Baptist faith. We are a self-governing body of believers committed to worshiping God in spirit and in truth, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, and living out our faith with love, humility, and purpose.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God — our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. Every teaching, decision, and ministry effort is guided by Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We are called to repent, believe, and follow Him — growing in grace and knowledge as we walk in obedience.

The Church

Our church is a local body of believers governed by its members. We gather to worship, learn, serve, and encourage one another. Church decisions are made through prayerful consensus and guided by biblical principles.

Marriage & Family

We believe marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God and affirmed in Scripture. We uphold biblical standards for sexuality, gender identity, and family life.

Sanctity of Life

We believe every human life is sacred — from conception to natural death. We affirm the value of each person as created in the image of God and reject practices that diminish or destroy life.

Love & Grace

We are called to love all people — believers and non-believers alike. While we stand firm in biblical truth, we strive to extend grace, patience, and kindness to those around us, reflecting the heart of Christ.

Protection of Children

Children are a gift from the Lord. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where they can grow spiritually and be protected from harm.

Unity & Accountability

We believe in maintaining unity within the body of Christ. Disputes are handled with humility and a desire for restoration, following biblical guidance and pastoral leadership.

Mission & Stewardship

We are called to proclaim the gospel locally and globally, support missionary efforts, and steward our resources faithfully to advance God’s kingdom.

How Our Church Stays Grounded & Guided

Our bylaws provide the framework for our church’s doctrine, leadership, membership, and ministry.
