🎄 Preparing Our Hearts and Our Church for the Coming of Christ

At Stancil’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, the Hanging of the Greens is a beautiful, worshipful tradition that marks the beginning of the Advent season. Together as a church family, we adorn the sanctuary with evergreen wreaths, garlands, Chrismons, and symbols that point us to the hope, peace, joy, and love found in Jesus Christ.

As Scripture is read and each decoration is placed, we are reminded of God’s eternal promises and the gift of His Son. The Hanging of the Greens is more than decorating—it is an act of worship, a moment of unity, and a joyful beginning to the season of expectation. We invite you, your family, and your friends to join us as we prepare our church and our hearts for Christmas.
